Laurel Canyon Letra - Sam Smith

Yeah, yeah

Okay

We made love in every room, we would stay in bed for hours

I would wear your favourite shirt 'cause it smelt like you

You would write me little notes, leave them on the kitchen counter

Now I read them in a dark, dark room when I'm feeling super blue

I think about you every day, it cuts me like a knife

I see your ghost on roads we used to drive

So I left my love in Laurel Canyon

'Cause there's nothing left of me and you

I used to love those hills

Now the house we built is just an empty mansion in Laurel Canyon

It's just an empty mansion in Laurel Canyon

Used to talk of having kids over breakfast on a Sunday

You would tell me all your dreams for a wedding in the spring, oh

I know I'm gonna find all of that with someone else one day

And when I do, I won't have to prove I love 'em with a ring

I think about you every day, it cuts me like a knife

I see your ghost on roads we used to drive

So I left my love in Laurel Canyon

'Cause there's nothing left of me and you

I used to love those hills

Now the house we built is just an empty mansion in Laurel Canyon

It's just an empty mansion, oh

(Ah-ah-ah-ah) I've gotta get away

(Ah-ah-ah-ah) The ocean and the waves

(Ah-ah-ah-ah) I've gotta get away

(Ah-ah-ah-ah)

So I left my love in Laurel Canyon

'Cause there's nothing left of me and you

I used to love those hills

Now the house we built is just an empty mansion in Laurel Canyon

It breaks my heart to mention Laurel Canyon

It's just an empty mansion in Laurel Canyon
