Letra de Summer Clothes - Michael Kiwanuka

"As far as music itself goes, um, you know, the simplest thing to forget is that what music is about... And any kind of art form is about... is creating the kind of things that you think are beautiful. Now, there is when you sit as a piano player and you're creating, you have to learn to be certain about what you like, not what you think sounds good to someone else. First thing is, you have to learn your own heart and your own mind about... about sound. So whatever you think is beautiful, that's what's beautiful, see, and you have to pursue that."

You should have told me you were torn apart

I would have shown you all my broken heart

Every time I was with you, I felt something strange

All of the time, I was planning my revenge

My own road

Where it takes me feels so lonely though

So alone

Could you take me? I feel so alone

But please don't try and change, try and change

My own mind

Please don't try and break, try and break

My own pride

When I feel good, I put on my summer clothes

You made me sad, so I knew I had to go

As soon as you told me, "I'm not here for you"

You made it clear, and I knew what I had to do

My own road

Where it takes me feels so lonely though

So alone

Would you take me? I feel so alone

I'm okay

I'm okay, I found another way

Not today

We'll be back here soon, just not today

But please don't try and change, try and change

My own mind

And please don't try and break, try and break

My own pride

Please don't try and change, try and change

My own mind

Please don't try
