Letra de August - August Alsina

My name is August, I'm so far from flawless

This heart has been damaged, need a bandage where my scars is

These eyes have seen plenty, these hands have shook many

These lies took a toll from all of those friends, folks turned enemies

And I'm really from the streets, really where they play for keeps

Really where we taught hard heart, don't show emotion, you'll look weak

But I've always just been me, workaholic, up for weeks

Wear emotions on my sleeve, on the grind until I'm weak

But I gotta keep movin'

Grindin' for more, keepin' my hope

Covered in prayer, God, please, don't let me go

Work on my trauma, lick all of my own wounds

Love myself like I'm supposed to

Keep my light when my days look low

Tell me could you do the same too?

Still love me when it's very scary

Ride with me, babe

Do it big, stack and grind, say I'ma pray with you

Do or die type of love that vow to stay with you

Ride top, bang hard, just caught a stray bullet

Reckless love

February to forever-ary, say swear, ain't no endin' to us

Could you be my future, like June into July, don't you lie

Let me introduce myself

My name August (August), have you fallin' (Fallin')

Like it's August (August)

Pardon, let me introduce myself

My name August (August), have you fallin' (Fallin')

Like it's August (August)

Pardon, let me introduce myself
